BURNING BAN HAS BEEN LIFTED 5-4-18

In accordance with Salisbury Township Ordinance 04-2018-616 Chapter 7 Entitled “Fire Prevention and Fire Protection” the Office of Fire Safety is issuing a ban on burning. The National Weather Service has issued an urgent fire weather message. A Red flag warning is in effect for eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. A Red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly due to a combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and dry fuels. Any fires that develop may quickly get out of control and become difficult to contain. Effective immediately (5-2-18) all permissible burning in Salisbury Township will be banned until this order is lifted and weather conditions improve. Notice will be posted at the Salisbury Township offices, fire stations, police department, and posted on social media and news outlets. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this safety measure. Reevaluation will be made on a daily basis until this ban is lifted.
