Halloween Safety: A message from Chief Stiles:

Trick-Or-Treat night is Friday, October 26, 2018 form 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Salisbury Township. Your Police Department will have adequate patrols throughout the Township.
Here are some safety tips for the big night:
Trick-Or-Treat with a parent or an older sibling. Stay in a familiar area.
Only go to houses where the porch lights are on and NEVER go into a house.
Carry a bright flashlight or glow sticks.
Wear a bright or light-colored costume that fits and one that makes it easy for you to walk. Attach reflective tape strips to the costume so that you are more visible in the dark.
A face mask may keep you from seeing well. Why not use face makeup instead?
Look both ways before crossing the street and never cross between parked cars.
Remember how difficult it is to see people walking in the dark.
Do not eat any treats until you return home so your parents can check them.
Contact the police, if you see anything suspicious.
Be safe and have fun.
Watch for our officers on patrol. They will have some special items to give away.
