We would like to congratulate all members of the Fire Inspection Division on successful completion of ProBoard Certified Fire Investigator. Recently members of the Fire Inspection and Police Department hosted this 80-hour program to nationally train 15 local police and fire employees from the Lehigh Valley in fire and explosion investigation. The training consisted of classroom exercises, live burns, evidence collection, scene processing, and other areas of investigation for origin and cause of fires, along with practical testing and a written test. Salisbury Township now has a total of 6 certified fire investigators to assist the Police Fire Marshal and Deputy Fire Marshal with these events. We are very fortunate to have these civilian members of the police department to supplement and assist when emergencies occur. Congratulations to the entire class of investigators who will go back to their municipalities and serve their communities needs.
