DUI Arrest

On July 3, 2026, officers stopped a 56‑year‑old male from Kearny, NJ in the 3000 block of South Pike Avenue after observing his vehicle fail to maintain its lane of travel. The driver was taken into custody and charged with DUI.

On July 5, 2026, officers stopped a 25‑year‑old male from Bethlehem in the 1800 block of Broadway after observing his vehicle fail to maintain its lane of travel. The driver was taken into custody and charged with DUI.

Assault Arrests

On July 8, 2026, officers charged a 44‑year‑old male with Simple Assault and Harassment after he allegedly struck a 49‑year‑old female in the head, causing injury, at a residence in the 1200 block of Trapps Lane. An arrest warrant was issued, and the male was taken into custody on July 9, 2026 and transported to Lehigh County Prison.

On July 10, 2026, officers arrested a 55‑year‑old male after he allegedly punched and injured his 39‑year‑old girlfriend inside their residence in the 1500 block of East Emmaus Avenue. He was transported to Lehigh County Prison and charged with Simple Assault and Harassment.

Retail Theft

On July 7, 2026, a 36‑year‑old female from Allentown was charged with Retail Theft following an investigation into allegations that, while employed at Ross Dress for Less, she intentionally conducted non‑receipted returns and applied the credits to a store voucher. The total value of the fraudulent returns was approximately $170.00

Drug Arrest

On July 5, 2026, officers stopped a 27‑year‑old male in the 1600 block of Broadway for operating a vehicle with an expired state registration. Officers determined that the driver also had a suspended license and was in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, and operating a vehicle with an expired registration.

Unwanted Person

On July 2, 2026, officers responded to Lehigh Valley Hospital at 1200 South Cedar Crest Boulevard to assist security with having a visitor leave the property. The female departed without incident.

Theft From Vehicle

On July 6 and July 7, 2026, a 37‑year‑old male, a 41‑year‑old male, and a 25‑year‑old male from the 2500 block of Green Acres Drive reported that their vehicles had been entered and items of value stolen. Police remind residents to remove valuables from their vehicles and to lock their car doors.

Agency Assist

On July 8, 2026, officers assisted Fountain Hill Police in the area of Fairview Road and East Susquehanna Street during a search for an individual who fled from a traffic stop and subsequently crashed in Salisbury Township. Officers assisted as needed.

On July 8, 2026, officers were requested to assist Fountain Hill Police at a traffic crash in the area of North Hoffert Street and School Street in Fountain Hill. Officers assisted as needed.

Disturbances

On July 7, 2026 between a visitor and staff at Lehigh Valley Hospital, located at 1200 South Cedar Crest Blvd.

Hazardous Condition

On July 4 and July 5, 2026, officers responded to multiple reports of road hazards due to the passing storm. No injury or significant damage reported.

Holiday Police Activity and Weekend Traffic Safety Enforcement

Between July 3 and July 5, 2026, officers responded to 80 calls for service throughout the township. Officers also conducted evening traffic safety enforcement, resulting in 24 traffic stops, 22 traffic citations, two DUI arrests, and one drug arrest. The majority of the traffic enforcement activity was supported by state grant traffic safety funding.
