Felony Fleeing Police Arrest
On July 24, 2026, officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 40‑year‑old male from Breinigsville in the 1600 block of Broadway due to the vehicle’s suspended registration. The operator fled from officers and proceeded through multiple side streets within Fountain Hill Borough. The driver then stopped the vehicle and fled on foot. After a several‑block foot pursuit, officers apprehended the male. He was taken into custody and charged with felony Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, DUI, Driving Under Suspension, and Unregistered Vehicle. He was transported to Lehigh County Prison and committed on the above charges.
Assault Arrest
On July 26, 2026 officers responded to a home in the 1200 block of Lehigh Avenue for a report of a domestic disturbance. Officers determined that a 47-year-old male from this home allegedly struck a 46-year-old female causing various injuries. The male was located a short time later and taken into custody and transported to Lehigh County Prison.
Wanted Person Arrested
On July 29, 2026 officers stopped a 29-year-old male in the area of Marlow Street at Lehigh Avenue for a motor vehicle code violation. Officers discovered that the male had an active assault arrest warrant out of our agency. The male was taken into custody and transported to the Lehigh County Prison.
On August 3, 2026, officers responded to the George W. Hill Correctional Facility in Delaware County to take custody of a 27‑year‑old male from Stewartsville, NJ. He was wanted by Salisbury Township Police on charges stemming from an incident that occurred in March of this year. The charges include three felony counts of possession with intent to deliver (drugs), one felony count of possessing a firearm with an altered manufacturer’s number, possession of a small amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, DUI, and a stop sign violation. The male was transported to Lehigh County Prison, where he is currently being held.
Drug Arrest
On August 2, 2026, officers conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 78 near Summit Lawn after learning the vehicle was wanted in connection with a felony incident in New York State. During the stop, officers found that a 24‑year‑old female from Lebanon, PA, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was in possession of marijuana. Possession charges to be filed.
DUI Arrest
On August 1, 2026 a 20-year-old male from Allentown, Pa was stopped in the 200 block of East Emmaus Avenue for a motor vehicle code violation. The male was subsequently taken into custody and charged with DUI, driving on roadways laned for traffic, obedience to traffic control devices, and minor prohibited from operating with vehicle any alcohol in system.
Hit and Run
On August 3, 2026 a 53-year-old male from Allentown reported an unknown make and model vehicle striking his 2018 Jeep in the 3100 block of Berger Street and fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported. This case is currently under investigation.
Neighbor Dispute
On July 28, 2026 officers responded to the 1800 block of Piccadilly Circle for a disturbance between neighbors after one of the neighbors’ dog urinated on the other neighbors’ car tire. No arrests were made.
Unsecured Load
On August 3, 2026, a 29‑year‑old female reported damage to her 2004 Honda in the 2800 block of South Pike Avenue after metal roofing fell from a 2011 Chevrolet truck and struck her vehicle. The truck was being operated by a 55‑year‑old male from Allentown. He was cited for Securing Loads in Vehicles.
Suspicious Person
On August 3, 2026, a resident in the 1900 block of Greenwood Road reported seeing a male walking through his yard on two separate occasions, both during the day and at night. When confronted, the male claimed he was on the property because he had lost his cat and his bicycle. Residents are encouraged to call 911 immediately if they observe or suspect anyone acting suspicious on or near their property.
Mutual Aid
On July 26, 2026 officers assisted Fountain Hill Police at the Fountain Hill Pharmacy located at 1049 Broadway for a disturbance inside the pharmacy. Officers assisted as needed.
On July 31, 2026 our K9 officer and K9 assisted Bethlehem City Police in the area of West Lehigh Street at Main Street in Bethlehem City on a traffic stop. Officers assisted as needed.
On August 2, 2026 officers assisted Fountain Hill Police at a home in the 1300 block of Russell Avenue for a domestic disturbance. Officers assisted as needed.
Disturbances
On July 25, 2026 a domestic disturbance at a home in the 1000 block of East Susquehanna Street between family members over car keys. No arrests were made.
On August 2, 2026 a domestic disturbance at a home in the 800 block of East Susquehanna Street. No arrests were made.
Counterfeit Money
On July 30, 2026, staff at Holiday Hair, located at 3300 Lehigh Street, reported that an individual entered the business on July 29 and passed a counterfeit $100 bill. This case remains under investigation.
Criminal Mischief
On July 30, 2026 a 19-year-old female from the 3300 block of Capital Street reported that someone damaged the exterior of her vehicle overnight.
On July 31, 2026 a 38-year-old male from the 1000 block of Debbie Lane reported that someone deflated tires on his vehicle overnight.
Vehicle Fire
On July 29, 2026, officers assisted Western and Eastern Fire Departments with a vehicle fire in the area of 33rd Street SW at Piccadilly Circle. The fire was brought under control by responding fire personnel. No injuries were reported.
Traffic Safety Enforcement
On July 28, 2026, officers partnered with Allentown City Police as part of a joint traffic safety enforcement agreement. This agreement allows city officers to assist township officers within Salisbury Township, and township officers to assist city officers within Allentown, specifically for traffic enforcement efforts. A total of 41 traffic stops were conducted, resulting in 31 traffic citations being issued.
Over the next two weeks, additional traffic safety officers will be deployed to identify motorists who are driving impaired.
National Night Out
The Salisbury Township Police Department will host the 2026 National Night Out on August 4, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Salisbury Middle School, located at 3301 Devonshire Road. All residents are invited to attend and take part in this annual community event. Free food, drinks, and activities will be available for everyone.
