Drug Arrest

On August 6, 2026, officers stopped a 34‑year‑old Easton man in the 500 block of Norway Place in Fountain Hill after observing him traveling through Salisbury Township with a fraudulent inspection sticker on his vehicle. During the stop, officers discovered the driver was in possession of marijuana, scales, and rolling papers. He was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, displaying a fraudulent inspection sticker, and driving while his license was suspended for a DUI.

Theft Arrests

On August 7, 2026, officers charged a 34‑year‑old Easton man with Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition and Receiving Stolen Property after he allegedly took a U‑Haul truck belonging to a family member in the 700 block of Gottwald Drive. The vehicle was not his and contained approximately $1,300 worth of property.

On August 8, 2026, officers charged a 58‑year‑old Allentown woman with Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition, Receiving Stolen Property, and Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked. The charges follow a weeklong investigation in which she was identified as the individual who allegedly entered Ross, located at 3300 Lehigh Street, stole an employee’s purse and wallet, and then left the store.

On August 9, 2026, officers charged a 19‑year‑old Allentown man with Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition, Receiving Stolen Property, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Access Device Fraud, and Driving Without a License. The charges stem from an incident at Lehigh Valley Hospital in which he allegedly took his girlfriend’s vehicle without permission, failed to return it, and later used her debit card to withdraw $350 in cash.

Fleeing Police Arrest

On August 9, 2026, officers attempted to stop a 24‑year‑old Allentown man who was observed operating a moped without a registration plate in the 1100 block of East Susquehanna Street. The driver fled the attempted traffic stop, traveling through local side streets and across residents’ yards to evade police. He was later identified and charged with Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, Reckless Driving, operating a motor vehicle without insurance and without registration, and a driver’s license violation. He was transported to Lehigh County Prison.

DUI Arrests

On August 6, 2026, officers stopped a 25‑year‑old Allentown woman in the 1100 block of East Susquehanna Street for a motor vehicle code violation. She was subsequently arrested for suspicion of DUI.

On August 7, 2026, a 20‑year‑old Dover, PA man was arrested for suspicion of DUI during a sobriety checkpoint in the 1600 block of Broadway.

On August 8, 2026, a 39‑year‑old Bethlehem woman was arrested for suspicion of DUI during a sobriety checkpoint in the 1600 block of Broadway.

On August 8, 2026, a 22‑year‑old Laurys Station man was arrested for suspicion of DUI during a sobriety checkpoint in the 1600 block of Broadway.

On August 8, 2026, a 34‑year‑old Salisbury Township man was arrested for suspicion of DUI during a sobriety checkpoint in the 1600 block of Broadway.

On August 8, 2026, a 23‑year‑old Allentown woman was arrested for suspicion of DUI during a sobriety checkpoint in the 1600 block of Broadway.

Wanted Person Arrested

On August 11, 2026, officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of East Susquehanna Street near Cumberland Street. During the stop, officers learned that the driver, a 39‑year‑old Bethlehem man, had active arrest warrants from Whitehall Township and Northampton County. He was taken into custody and transported to Lehigh County Prison.

Unwanted Person

On August 10, 2026, officers responded to a home in the 800 block of College Lane for a report of an unwanted person. The male left the home without incident.

Stolen Motorcycles

On August 12, 2026, officers responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Lehigh Avenue for a report of two stolen motorcycles. The motorcycles were taken overnight from the home’s driveway. One motorcycle was recovered approximately one mile away later that same day. The investigation remains ongoing.

Stolen Trailer

On August 12, 2026, officers responded to a business in the 1700 block of Riverside Drive for a report of a stolen 48-foot trailer. This case is under investigation.

Fraud

On August 7, 2026, a 75‑year‑old Lehigh Avenue woman was scammed over the phone out of more than $30,000. All but $8,600 of the stolen funds were recovered.

On August 10, 2026, a 53‑year‑old South 24th Street man reported being scammed out of $5,000 after making an online payment for a service that did not exist. Our agency reminds everyone that phone and online scams are very common, and you should never send money, gift cards, or anything of value to strangers.

Sobriety Checkpoint

On August 7, 2026, in an effort to keep our roadways safe, the Salisbury Township Police Department partnered with the Lehigh County DUI Task Force to conduct a sobriety checkpoint in the 1600 block of Broadway. The task force is comprised of multiple police departments from across Lehigh County. Several motor vehicle code violations were issued, and five DUI arrests were made. Traffic safety enforcement will continue in this area throughout the summer. If you choose to drink, choose not to drive.

Lewd Acts

On August 4, 2026, officers responded to the parking lot of 1251 South Cedar Crest Boulevard for a report of two males inside a vehicle engaging in inappropriate conduct. Officers checked the area, but the vehicle had already left prior to their arrival.

Protection From Abuse Order Violation Arrest

On August 9, 2026, officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of East Federal Street for a reported Protection From Abuse order violation. Officers subsequently arrested a 41‑year‑old Salisbury Township woman and charged her with Indirect Criminal Contempt for violating the order. She was transported to Lehigh County Prison.

Disturbances

On August 5, 2026, officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 0 block of White Oak Lane.

On August 5, 2026, officers responded to a disturbance at Lehigh Valley Hospital involving a patient who became upset after being told he could not go outside.

On August 7, 2026, officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 800 block of East Susquehanna Street involving a dispute over property.

On August 7, 2026, officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 3100 block of Club Drive.

Mutual Aid

On August 9, 2026, Salisbury Township officers were requested to respond to a home in the 1000 block of South Armour Street in Allentown City. Officers assisted as needed.

Criminal Mischief

On August 5, 2026, officers responded to Salisbury High School for a report of criminal mischief involving damage to a ticket booth. Officers are currently reviewing and collecting surveillance footage from the school in an effort to identify the individual(s) responsible.

Harassment

On August 6, 2026, a 47‑year‑old Voortman Avenue woman reported receiving harassing text messages. The case is currently under investigation.

On August 7, 2026, a 37‑year‑old Victoria Circle woman reported being harassed online. This case remains under investigation.

Traffic Safety

On August 11 and August 12, 2026, officers responded to two crashes involving juveniles operating e‑bicycles and e‑scooters. In both incidents, the cause of the crash was determined to be the juvenile operators failing to stop for posted stop signs. The department urges parents to closely monitor their children’s use of these devices and to ensure they understand the laws and safety requirements before allowing them to operate them.
