Fleeing Police Arrests
On August 29, 2026, officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 34‑year‑old female from Bethlehem who was operating a moped in the area of Seidersville Road and Fire Lane. The driver initially failed to stop for police and fled the attempted stop. She was ultimately stopped and taken into custody by Salisbury Township officers in Lower Saucon Township. The driver was charged with Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, Required Financial Responsibility, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Obedience to Traffic Control Devices, and Driving Without a License. She was transported to Lehigh County Prison.
On August 30, 2026, officers attempted to stop a 43‑year‑old male from Allentown in the 3300 block of Lehigh Street after observing his vehicle traveling at an excessive rate of speed and disregarding multiple red lights. When officers caught up to the vehicle, the driver initially failed to stop. After coming to a stop, the driver reversed his vehicle and nearly struck a marked police unit. The driver was subsequently charged with DUI, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, Reckless Driving, and Obedience to Traffic Control Devices.
Resisting Arrest
On August 29, 2026, officers conducted a traffic stop on a 45‑year‑old male from Fountain Hill in the 1600 block of Broadway for a motor vehicle code violation. The driver was subsequently taken into custody and charged with DUI, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic, Obstructing Administration of Law or Other Governmental Function, and Resisting Arrest. He was transported to Lehigh County Prison.
Theft Arrest
On August 31, 2026, a 22‑year‑old male with no fixed address was arrested for Theft and Receiving Stolen Property after he allegedly took possession of and sold personal items valued at more than $1,000.00 belonging to a 41‑year‑old male in the 1400 block of East Emmaus Avenue. The male was transported to Lehigh County Prison.
Wanted Person Arrested
On August 29, 2026, officers conducted a traffic stop on a 27‑year‑old male from Bethlehem in the 1400 block of Broadway for a motor vehicle code violation. Officers then discovered that the male was a wanted person with an active felony warrant out of Georgia. He was taken into custody and transported to Lehigh County Prison.
Disorderly Conduct Arrest
On August 31, 2026, a 19‑year‑old female from New Tripoli was cited for Disorderly Conduct after she allegedly tore a picture frame from a wall and threw a cup of coffee inside the breakroom at Frey Smiles.
Retail Theft
On August 25, 2026, staff at Staples reported that two individuals entered the store and stole approximately $900.00 in gaming merchandise before leaving the premises. The incident remains under investigation.
